Facebook Front End Engineer E4 Job offer

I just finished the interview rounds last week and the recruiter wanted to know what salary range I had in mind. I told her I needed the weekend to think about it. What's a good comp to ask for E4? Here is a figure I heard from another blinder that got in for FEE at E4 (4 YOE): Initial Offer: 150k/300k/0 Final Offer: 165k/300k/30k (after negotiating) I have 6 YOE but no other offers.

What does levels.fyi say?

TC ~250K for FEE, which is way below what the other blinder mentioned.

You can try to push RSU to 360 and sign on max is 100k.

To negotiate you need reasons for everything. Start thinking about your BATNA, reasons for them, etc. Posts on blind or “my friend’s offers” won’t help your conversation.

How was your interview like? Algo/DS heavy or just front end stuff?

TriNet vietbbq OP Nov 3, 2019

All JS stuff. Not LC.

That's the max for E4. You should count in 10% bonus when you calculate TC. You have leverage in getting a good sign-on but that's possible if you have competing offers.

How was the interview for FEE? How many rounds?

I hit a similar ceiling when I negotiated E4, although there’s still room in the bonus. I quoted something like 50k to exercise options I was potentially leaving behind and they were going to give me 45k.

TriNet vietbbq OP Nov 4, 2019

So they gave you 345k rsu?

WeWork lBKJ26 Nov 4, 2019

45k starting bonus

E4 is a down level for your experience. They did the same to me and I went and got an E5 equivalent offer at Lyft and I'm happier for it.

TC at Lyft “e5”?

$400K
