By mistake,. I mentioned my Maste degree as "MS" instead of "M.Tech" in my resume. Facebook recruitment team is about to send me the offer letter. They have asked my salary details, personal details and also 2 references for verification related purposes it seems. Should I email them and update that, there was a mistake in my resume? I have done 3 years of B.S + 2 Years of M.Tech in System Engineering. Actually what happened is that, while I was pursing the course, University has changed the title to M.Tech for all batches starting from our batch during my final year. Just confused here, whether this will create any problem in my background verification. I don't want to lose my dream job for a silly mistake like this. Please let me know.
Moving from Wipro to FB, that's a big jump. How did you do that?
What do you mean by "they have asked my salary details"? You know that's illegal, right?
That’s a non-issue. Don’t bother.
Thank you :)
I'm overwhelmed with the response I got from you guys. I was bit worried. Thank you all for the swift help :)
*lose not loose
Typo 😅 Thanks for pointing out :)
That's not an issue. Good luck with FB.
Thank you :)
What’s ur TC range and what level ?
This is a non issue. No matter how you abbreviate it, a masters is a masters is a masters for all intents and purposes in the business world.
So I can ignore it?
Yes, ignore. The background check people might make note of a minor discrepancy, but people have these discrepancies all the time. It is not as if you put PhD or D.Phil.
