Hi, I’m a new grad interviewing for a Facebook production engineer role in Seattle. Can anyone give me some good advice for the phone screen? I’ve heard it’s a pretty easy 15-20 questions centered around Linux but I was wondering if anyone could give me more direction as to how deep this first screen goes? Thx! Happy Friday!
Coding questions are repeated from those on Glassdoor so review then for sure .. you need to write efficient code .. focus should be more on that . Coding style is also looked at. They won’t ask complex algos like trees graphs DFS etc but focus on efficiently using basic DS such as lists dictionaries hash tables etc ..Ask recruiter for a mock interview with interviewing.io. A production engineer from FB will interview you and give you feedback .It help me immensely
Thanks for the help. So you’re saying I can get a mock PE interview with a FB person on there?
Yes but only for the coding round . Not sure if they still offer it but check with recruiter. They use old decommissioned questions in the mock but the feedback is very thorough. Systems interview is apparently tough . I am yet to go through that phone screen

Is it by the recruiter? Then yea Linux trivia, basically you know it or you don’t, no depth at all. Coding screen is easy, hard part is systems and networking interviews for PE
