I live on east side. Planning to drive to the dexter station office starting in Sep. Near by apts don’t offer monthly parking. Where do you guys park? Or is taking shuttle a better commute option? 160/20/250 < 5yoe
Don’t do it. Driving anywhere near SLU/Downtown is a nightmare during rush hour. You’ll be stuck at the Mercer intersection for an hour just trying to get on I-5.
Parking in the office ~$350/month (you pay daily). Maybe you can find some cheaper off-site parking for ~$200 (not sure). Traffic near the office is horrible though. Shuttles suck IMHO, their routes are very limited and they go just few times a day. Convenience for you will depend on where exactly you live.
Is there street parking? There seem to be some neighborhood streets on the other side of 99.
I suggest you park in the Westlake garage. Driving out during rush hour is much more reasonable there. (I.e. only 30 min to Mercer instead of 50 from Dexter.) Having said this — don’t be cute and just take the shuttle like everybody else.
Doesn’t the campus itself have free parking for employees?
Not in Seattle.
