The recruiter allow me to go onsite or phone in the first 45mins round. Which one is better? This is for a swe role
Onsite but make sure you have adequate time to prepare.
I just had same decision, chose onsite. Never done a whiteboard interview, so I figure it will be good practice. Have a Google onsite the week after too, so I thought it would be a good test run for dealing with nerves.
On-site. Face to face communication always trumps online communication in terms of quality.
Shouldn’t even be a question. You’ll get to see the place, talk to people face-to-face, see what it’s about.
And risking getting a no at phone screen stage
Phone. That way u can google the questions they ask since they can’t see u
If you're asking about if there's any difference in difficulty or problem, the answer is no. The rest is up to whether you prefer having a face-to-face interaction versus making the trip. I know some people who thought it was easier to communicate and express their ideas on the board versus phone/coderpad, but it's up to you.
I chose face to face as it ls better to communicate
Phone I guess? Why waste time to go all the way
