I attended on-site interview at FB this week on Monday at menlo park campus and my recruiter told me today that she is waiting for few things from the interviewers and will let me know about the result on Tuesday. Do interviewers at FB really take that long to arrive at a decision?
Yes, a week is normal. You are important, but not a P0, for better or worse. There are a number of steps that a variety of people need to take in order for an offer to come through. Don't sweat it. I understand why it can be frustrating, a job offer is a big deal, but the company is speaking with hundreds, if not thousands a week and that takes time to make it's way through.
Yea they need to gather feedback from each interviewer and then go to committee to decide on a go/no go. Then they put together an offer package based on leveling, experience, etc if it’s a yes. had an interview with fb last month, recruiter got back to me a week later but it was a rejection. I wouldn’t worry to much about how long it takes to get back to you, people are busy this time of year
It took multiple weeks for me after the interview to get asked for references, and then again multiple weeks before I got an offer. Don't worry about it I'd say
Did you get thumbs up from all interviewers. I was told candidates on fence have to provide references?
I think a week is normal for FB. GOOG seems to be closer to a month
