Both offers are in Bay Area. Both offers are final. No more negotiation is possible. I personally really like FB, but their offer is really low ball. I will loose $75k/year if I accept FB offer. I would like to hear your suggestions and tips. Am I missing any important point here? What would you suggest me to consider going one way or the other. No trolls please.
Which one gives you more ownership and responsibility? If it’s Nordstrom, do it for a year and look else where
What’s your yoe?
Fb will obviously open more doors for you in the future and likely gain far more experience at. I’d take the short term financial hit for the sake of building long term career.
Who the hell knew Nordstrom paid so much ?!?! That's so high for a traditional retail company. Congrats on the offers.
We are losing talent. We have to.
What role is PM in this context? Product manager or program manager?
Reasonably assuming that they likely have the budget for you for a solid 2 years, that's $150k. It's probably a lot less stressful to look for a new job with $150k than without.
Good point
This FB offer is really low (L4?). I’d suggest to go with Nordstrom as they are more likely to appreciate you than FB. As a PM you’ll have a ton of interesting stuff to figure out there as well, and you can always join Amazon after :-)
TC is all that matters
As an engineer i would think long and hard about which product / tech I'd rather work on, which I believe in, and whether 75k short term will be balanced out long term by growth potential and brand name. Not sure as PM
