What's your budget and what size of home are you looking for?
I donât have a budget since everything is so damn expensive but it would be nice to have at least 3 bedrooms for future.
Imagine being blue-collar workers like teachers, police officers here. đ˘
Move to Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond/Bothell
200k TC should easily get you a 800k home. But you gotta do a bit more work. Itâs all about your finances. Whatâs your debt to income ratio? I bought a 3Bd/2BR home in San Jose for $730k last year. I only put 15% down because I did not want to cash our RSUs or take loan from 401k. TC at the time was $175k, and 795 credit score. Go talk to a few lenders see how much you prequalify for, go to a few open houses and talk to realtors until you find someone who wants to help you finding a home. You can work with multiple agents if you donât sign anything.
Thatâs amazing! Congratulations đ In your opinion should I try for the 800k house now or wait out another year or two for the 1M house? I want to buy a house with at least 3Bed/3BR. I do have vested RSUâs but donât want to sell them yet and have about 40k in 401k.
Why do you need a 3/3 for a 25 year old single guy? Just get a starter home bachelor pad and trade up down the road. You gotta start somewhere instead of trying to leap to the moon tomorrow.
Recomend that you make more money
Doesn't Apple have an office in the Sacramento area. That's an affordable location.
I donât think so. Also the team I am on doesnât have an option to work remotely else I would have moved out of Bay Area for sure.
Just out of experience, never ever delay with buying home, and expect the home you purchased is not for your lifetime, so just go small and keep buying !!
Be patient. Major discounts coming your way in a few years.
Be patient, increase saving and increase TC. Saving for 5 yr before buying a house is normal.
Move to a cheaper COL place.
