So in SF you’re required by law not to discriminate against criminals. But I’m wondering if that’s true of your own employees you’ve fired for non-criminal offenses? Specifically, what are Salesforce’s policies?
Why would getting fired be on File?
This is an HR issue. Likely you have a not eligible for rehire status on your employee record. That's stays there forever.
Yep curious to get an HR perspective from inside SFDC
Couple of key fields in your term data - “regrettable attrit”, e.g. did the company regret you leaving. If you were fired that’s definitely not you. Eligible for rehire - usually applies more to coming back to the same role, could have gone either way depending on what you were fired for. End of the day, ES/ER and recruiting eventually will know you have a history. If you were fired for code of conduct you have basically no shot without a good story about why things have changed. Same if you were fired for performance (E.g. a now resolved mental health issue would probably get you back in an interview loop). Your chances are not high.
2009 was a long time ago
Indeed.
Yeah it’s kind of silly. I’m not particularly interested in SFDC as it seems like going back to junior high, but someone reached out for a senior level job. Their loss.
At Microsoft we can see pretty far back the reason for leaving, including involuntary. While we can’t necessarily know if you got fired elsewhere we know if you were fired from Microsoft.

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.
You’re a criminal?
If you look at job postings based in SF, they have an elaborate disclaimer that they won’t discriminate against criminals
Honestly it doesn’t matter to me, but your post was confusing in its wording to me is all.
