Blind, which gaming laptop would you recommend? Portability is important to me. Max budget of $1500, will buy best specs that price can get.
Cheapest MacBook Pro + External GPU
I respect your opinion but don't think you get the most bang for your buck going this route.
Do you suggest to install Windows on it?
Surface book 2 with performance base. Best GPU in any laptop out there. Stick to desktop PC if you can. Much better overall experience.
Gotta love it :D “portability is important to me” - “get a desktop” 😂
Haha lemme just pack my tower in one suitcase and my monitor in another 👌
Razer blade for portability. But, I think I read that it heats quickly so I bought alien ware. But it's heavy and battery has gone soon (I used it pretty hard).
I think I am leaning towards razer vs alienware here. What happened with your battery? Just not holding a charge? How long did it become noticable after you got the m15?
Yes, it doesn't hold charging. I think it's gone after 16 or 18 months.
Sager makes really great laptops.
I just checked them out, they seem cheaper in terms of specs. But I dont know if I'd be comfortable investing this much into a brand I hadn't heard of until now. Have you personally used these?
I have owned multiple Sagers. Built exactly how you want the laptop.
Lots of talk about cooling here. Anyone ever tried the app SpeedFan? PC and Mac versions, used both. Let’s you spin up fans sooner, some OEM like to let the laptop get super hot before kicking in. My 2012 rMBP keyboard would literally hurt my fingertips before I installed it.
I had a razor blade and it’s keyboard broke in a really short time
GS65 is the lightest one you can find.
Alienware. Uglier but better heat management
Oops forgot to add the m15. There is a 9th gen i7 out for 1599. Considering that as well.
Use this as a Alienware m15 button pls
