Hi, I am being interviewed at GS as Software developer. YoE - 8 Education Bachelors 4 years plus 2 years masters Current Compensation - 700000SEK Recruiter from GS said based on my experience, they can take me in Senior Associate and Not VP. Can any one tell me if there is a criteria for VP?
Don't join below VP title
I have no clue about compensation structure for Goldman Sachs at Sweden! May be my current compensation is so low that they will raise it little and match with senior associate. Does VP has minimum compensation that they cannot go below?
No, but associate has a max compensation you can't go above :P Tell them no VP, no interest.
They did ask my previous pay slips. So does that mean they just slightly increase previous salary? Any insights?
Normal levels within a bank are: Analyst -> associate -> VP Usually VP is around 6 YOE internally. Given how title driven banks are (TC directly tied to position) I would push hard for the VP title bump.
Is it 6 YOE in Goldman Sachs required to qualify for VP? Or Is it overall 6 years of Experience is enough to qualify for it? Thanks in advance for your reply
Internally, VP is usually achieved in 6-8 years but I imagine there is some down leveling when coming from external.
