* which pays better? Google or Waymo (Mountain View)? * are transfers between these two easy as internal transfers between teams or do they count as external? * do people keep RSUs when switching between the two?

Donβt know which is better, but many googlers went to Waymo. It is an internal transfer and at least googlers gets to keep their invested google stocks. Waymo give Waymo stocks / options.

Waymo pays in Waymo stocks. They are not liquid and are harder to value, but have more upside. So it's hard to directly compare
Google pays waymo. You need to interview and Google might not always respect waymo promotions. Yes you keep your existing RSUs but any future grants are from your new company.
Thanks for the answer :) . Google pays Waymo... Yeah, but where can I expect better TC? Is it worth interviewing with both or one is clearly better?
