I saw that if you receive more than a certain # of GSU (can’t recall but I believe something like 200..?) then they vest monthly. Does it mean that it starts vesting starting the second month of employment? or do you still have to wait a whole year?
Oh woah!! That’s insane!! :) yay!
The vesting cliff (1 yr) and vesting schedule are two different things. But I heard they no longer have vesting cliff for new hires
Neat. Since when?
I don't know the details. Comment below said they had 6 months cliff instead
New hire here. I was told by my recruiter that the initial cliff is 6 months, then they vest monthly. Haven't seen any info on it yet though.
This has to be in your contract. You could just spend a bit of time and read it.
Read it again. It says the GSUs will start to vest "immediately after the start date on the applicable vesting schedule". But then it says the details of the vesting schedule will be provided after the grant. So yeah.
It starts with few months of delay. Few months depend on your role, office location and negotiations. Mine was wait of first 3 months and then every month.
After 3 months of delay, do you get the GSUs for the 3 months or that’s just when the vesting starts?
Same q
I got the first stocks after 3 months and then monthly.
Mine is at 2.5 months after joining .. this is good to know .. I thought I would have to wait a year but this is a decent surprise .. now just got to figure out if i should sell or not First time in my life (too much yoe to even mention ) getting RSUs so glad that I won’t have to wait a year
It starts vesting immediately.
Isn't there a 1 year cliff for new hires?
That went away starting with some candidates getting offers in September. So I think anyone with offers in October onwards had no cliff
