Got a Google L4 offer with 170k/15%/395k/30k. Recruiter says it's the best they can do no matter what other offers I can get. I now have a snap offer with 190k base and 750k stock. Should I push Google a bit more? I really like the work they are doing in the team I matched.
How many years of experience do you have?
Go to snap. This is max for Google L4
The fact that you are even consider a much lower offer over ours makes you less attractive to us. Don't let anyone know you did this if you join Snap.
Not about the companies, but the projects I will be working on. In Google I can work on something I always dreamed of. In snap I will do what I have been doing. I can handle it and I'm good at it, but it's simply not what I want to do the MOST.
People could have considerations beyond money! Shocking!
Hmm might be some recruiter BS tho. Good luck deciding. But know that L4s at Google have way less respect than L4s at Snap, not to mention your refreshers will be literally a small fraction of Snap's, and with that maxed google offer you can forget about raises for a long time.
This^. I was at Google before with max base for the level. When I got promoted, I got less than 4% raise
Qa- if you are snap , can you please refer me ? My firm is soon ( by end of this year ) going to close the product that I work on , and I am aggressively looking for other roles
Go to snap
Ask Snap for 1M stock and just sign the offer if they give it to you
That might be pushing it. But I suppose it couldn't hurt if done nicely.
Go to Google
Snap for a year than back to try out google again for L5
Is snap still doing their backloaded vesting schedule?
No, 25/25/25/25 monthly.
Holy fuck snap throws so much money around. Send them it and see what they can do 🤷♂️ worst they say is they can’t.
