Are the interview questions Leetcode hard? Or if few questions are leetcode hard, what if I am not able to reach optimal solution? Is it a definite reject?
Mostly leetcode medium but 1/2 hards.
the hards will have more margin for error. +1 on graphs and combinatorics
Any good examples for combinatorics?
I hadn't heard of Leetcode when I got an offer two years ago. Back in my day we just did Cracking the Coding Interview :P
Interviewer here. I've given hire recommendation to candidates who didn't write the code for the optimal solution. It doesn't matter that much. Be sure to show your knowledge and potential, use consistent coding style, consider edge cases, and make us believe you can work out the optimal solution efficiently on your own, if given enough time.
Thanks! Very helpful!
+1 same here, I have a question that has an easy to reason about almost optimal solution which I'm OK with, I also have the really optimal one that I only give extra points for
Give leet hard, ok giving hiring with second best solution or with minor bugs. Never give hire if they don't have a working solution though. Random sentences on a whiteboard is hard to justify
I feel leetcode hard questions also vary in difficulties. Some can be solved in 30 mins and some take more than 1 hour
What about leetcode level for a SW Test Engineer position at Google?
I got 2 hard, 1 easy, 3 mediums. Be careful though. Nothing is ever that easy
Did you get leetcode questions?
I just got a Google offer after bombing part of a question. However, be prepared for leetcode hard in at least two rounds. Also, know graph theory and combinatorics.
