Google or FB

TCs are very similar. Would FB bootcamp be really helpful to get in an interesting and good team ? How difficult is that ? Googles team has been decided but it is hard to know what exactly it feels like working in the team. My background is different from these web backend or infrastructure so want to find a good place to learn these things fast. What do you guys think ? Thanks

Try FB for a year or so. Then join Google till retirement. Usually no need to reinterview if coming back within a year or slightly over.

I was in your position and picked FB because my team at Google sounded shit. Depends what team you've been given at Google / what teams are hiring at FB at the time.

I don’t see google has a lot of openings now, on the other hand FB is hiring crazy. So chances of you finding a better team there is higher. But, levels plz

The opportunity to screw up with many code bases and teams, no pressure to join a team for weeks (I joined on end of 8 weeks after working with many ppl), and a decent selection of teams across the board. Pretty unique.

Google for sure.

Same pay. FB work life balance is twice worse in average. Google has cool tech to learn.

Google because it looks better on a resume, and their future looks brighter than Facebooks future

But just remember that 'Looks better on a resume' is only going to help you get an interview, not the job.

That’s true, but being from Google will also help interviewers be biased towards you, making it a little easier to get the job
