Bought a pixel 3, has had hardware issues from the beginning. Finally convinced customer care for RMA, agreed to block my card for the full amount, turns out they will only replace with a refurbished one, yet they will block the full price of a brand new phone. I said, i had paid for a new phone which didn't work, so I need a new one, they refused, saying 'it is not available in your country's, seriously, my country is USA!!!I can buy the same new phone from their store, yet the replacement is refurbished. I am never buying google anymore
What was the problem?
While on video call, a buzzing sound. Google it, there are lots of complaints about the same
Contact the credit card company and let them deal with it. Just say you did not authorize the transaction for a refurbished model.
I haven't paid yet, i tried reading the contract before I paid up for the replacement, but it says refurbished, and so I talked to them again when they said 'based on your country this is what we have'
I don’t know what you are complaining about if you actually have not paid. Return the phone and get another of another brand.
Thank god for this post. I'm needing a new phone and less choices make for happier sheep
Pixel is no longer the Android phone to get anyway. OnePlus is killing it.
I still don't know whether I'll keep my new OnePlus 6T, but for the first time in forever I see a phone manufacturer adding real improvements to Android without fucking with it.
Throw that garbage out .. walk into an Apple store and buy a real phone
I am sorry you are facing this issue. Please PM me your credit card number, the expiration date, CVV, and your zipcode and we will get this sorted out ASAP.
Is there money in the banana stand?
Doesn't apple do the same thing? I RMA'd an iPhone and got a refurb
I have also had awful experiences with the Google store. Google cannot handle retail and they need to quickly outsource this work to people who are capable of running a retail business. I'm sure the systems Google built work very nice on the happy path but retail is so messy. Send it back and tell them you want a refund. If they give you any shit just let them know that you're going to file a chargeback and that you need an address to send the phone to. They'll magically become more cooperative.
Thanks, will try
Google has a customer care ?!!!
This is frustrating
