I just got rejected after a video call with a VP at C3.ai. I feel really down right now. It’s mainly because they got my hopes up as they said I did well for the onsite (I also felt that way) and destroyed me after a casual conversation with the VP. At no moment during the talk I think I messed up. Even the VP mentioned that next round would be talking with the CPO and they’d try to set it up for me as the guy is a busy man. What do you guys think the reasons could be? I really think this order of interviewing for engineer positions is flawed. If they’re gonna reject candidates based on some mysterious behavioral criteria, then they should do it even before the phone screen round. This is my 2nd onsite so far. The first onsite was not technical and the company is not too great either. I have practiced as much as I can over the last 1.5 months. LC 60 questions (mostly medium in the 75 curated list). I just want to share it here. Maybe you guys can give me some advice about it or how I should handle culture fit interviews for later?
Move on friend. There are many reasons companies don’t proceed further in hiring process. Try to mock interview with mentor/ friends. Keep trying. Good luck.
Thanks guys. Btw, I’m not pissed or anything. I just feel down because I’m desperate for a new job as I hate everyday at my current employer.
Just remember, you are not alone. Keep practicing
Let it go. You also have a license to treat the company (that you don’t want to go to) like shit. Nothing personal, it’s just business. They understand it too - those who live by the sword, die by the sword.
I had a phone interview with them as well. Completely unprofessional. Dude was driving in his car lmao
move on
I hear this from C3...it is what Seibel does: interviews you nods affirmatively and lets you talk. If you say something stupid you're out.
that's painful.
Probably they got other better suited candidate. Nothing to do with your performance.
Good riddance. That company does not know what they are doing. They claim to be in ai now, before that iot and something else before that...
Yeah they said they rebranded 3 times and all of a sudden have 4.5 stars on Glassdoor... fishy
Let it go bruh
