How is the growth product team structured in your company? Does the role reside in the PM org or Marketing or Biz Ops. It is such a cross functional role that it could be anywhere. Also, how does the team work with other product managers managing product lines? How are the roles and responsibilities defined so that there are no conflicts?
What defines a growth team? We have strategic stealth teams in F5. They're teams by themselves reporting up to GM/C-Suite.
Growth team scope is to increase the product metrics - activation, retention, virality. Or, in enterprise world, identify new markets
I see. Yep, those are the strategic stealth teams/incubations at F5. They are orgs by themselves. They have their own PMs, their own agendas. But, they report to GMs who manage multiple product lines.
