According to a recent survey, 14.5% of US subscribers may cancel Netflix subscription to sign up Disney+, that’s 8.7 million subscribers, which translates to $1.3 billion revenue. Sample size is small though, +/- 4% error should be expected. https://www.fool.com/amp/investing/2019/04/25/guess-how-many-subscribers-plan-to-cancel-netflix.aspx
Meh, most people will just sign up for both.
Netflix + Hulu + HBO + Disney+ is still cheaper than a TV package, with way more quality content. I'm more likely to cancel HBO and pay for it once every six months to binge.
I'm about to cancel. The last time I binged on a show was like months ago.
People say this every time Amazon raises the price of prime, Costco raises their membership fees, Netflix goes up a dollar. Yet when it goes to up, they still remain as subscribers. Netflix is still the best entertainment bang for your buck. Most people will just subscribe to both.
This is just getting bs... Youtube has many free videos...pfff
Content from Netflix is being pulled left and right. Should be interesting to see what they have left when WB and Disney as well as others take their content back.
I think 95% of Netflix subscribers don't know how to cancel their account and can't be bothered to find out :-)
I’m starting to use Amazon Prime video more than Netflix. Netflix keeps on advertising what I assume are racist programs (like “Dear White People”), so I’ve about had it with them.
No way. Market is moving to multiple subscriptions per household. Disney wants to complement your Netflix subscription, not replace it. Survey is very interesting but consumer behavior doesn’t back it up. At least yet.
I’m definitely canceling.
Netflix is planning 100+ original content movies and shows this year. I anticipate some people leaving for Disney for Star Wars or the Disney movies but I anticipate a ton more subscribers for the non-stop original content blitz Netflix is creating. End of year I bet a net growth, not decline.
I know we will. It’s half the price and good content on Netflix is becoming scarce.
