So I've gained a lot of pounds in the last 1 year .close to 15, and now I'm overweight. I want to join a gym class .but I see all those endurance classes have very flexible and fit people. I badly want to do something since now I feel lethargic at work due to weight. Any advice coming out of this. How do I check for beginner classes or something which doesn't need me to be pro and do insane weights, poses and overall cardio.i get tired of jogging just 1 mile.
how others look should not factor into ur decision, ask the instructor for the most appropriate class for your fitness level and take action
Nothing Comes easy.. be consistent..took me 1 year.. all natural..
Read the hackers diet
Fat is lost at the table. Bodies are sculpted in the gym. First thing you can do is eat at a caloric deficit. It’s gonna be hard for you to out-work a bad diet.
Please do the needful
Track your calories for a couple weeks on something like MyFitnessPal so you get an idea of how much you should adjust your diet to lose weight. At the same time start going to the closest gym, preferably a big chain like the 24Hour or Anytime and lift a variety of weights. Those gyms have regular people as well as gym rats so you don't stand out. Go at least 3 days a week
I have been eating 1300 calories for almost 6 months now. No change in weight. No hormonal issue according to doctor. So I want to see if exercise solves something since if it doesn't . I might have deeper issue going on. Yes most gyms in Seattle downtown seem very avid fitness geeks oriented. Thanks for advice.
If you’re eating at 1300 calories for 6 months and nothing has changed definitely go see another doctor.
You're not eating at 1300 calories. You aren't counting correctly.
Do it anyways. Do it now!
Keto. It works.
Yup. Keto or if that is difficult try to have less than 100g of net carbs in a day.
Fix your diet first
Bad advice. Don't wait for anything to take action on improving your physical fitness. Getting in shape involves diet AND exercise, and each is their own challenge. Start small with exercise, and start making improvements there. Bit by bit, do the same with your eating habits.
I agree with New. You get thin in the kitchen and fit in the gym. I started by walking 5 miles a day and cutting calories/intermittent fasting and felt fit enough to join group classes and I could keep up no problem. YMMV but I found that it keeps me from getting discouraged by going straight into classes and feeling bad about myself.
