In addition to the title also consider that H1b guy and citizen are both working at the same level with same TC. I guess lots of investment is in stake when you fire H1B employee and so they are less prone to get fired, may be. Please give your opinions.
False, H1Bs almost never will be able to file lawsuit after getting fired as they have to leave the country within very short period of time upon job termination. So it's less risky for employer to fire H1Bs. There is almost negligible amount of investment for H1B. The H1B filing fee is only a few thousand dollars. It's nothing compared to compensation. The better question to ask is if minority who is also US citizens is less prone to get fired or laid off. The answer for that is probably yes. So you should turn the hostility to the minority of your own citizens.
Lol, equal opportunity employment, until sm1 above favors sm1!
Equal opportunity is on paper buddy! World doesn't work on those strict rules. Where there are humans involved, there will be little favouritism, politics, at the very least.
If sm1 gets fired on the basis of h1b vs citizen then let me know, I will also fund the law suit to make some quick money! Hahahaha
H1b hired under legal premise of not having local talent available. If position is being eliminated, well, I'd expect h1b worker to go with it. Fwiw, I was on h1b at some point.
H1B pack your bags and ship out
It is the other way round I guess. H1s are not hired unless there is no option. Why so much hate against H1s ?
Man, who are these dumbasses arguing this nonsense? Typically firing happens because of project priorities or favoritism. Plain and simple. Nobody gives a fuck about the 4k spent to get that h1b. It's chunk change.
Favoritism or PE/IBD over chief of staff at WF. House of Card$
Kick those H1B guys waiting for green cards since 10 yrs ... in place get the new and more intelligent girls on H1B
Fucking better not be. Hiring and firing doing be based on fucking merit.
Did you read my question properly? I said both are performing equally, at same level and same TC
