H1b extension premium

My H1b visa expired this week and the attorney already filed for the extension (non-premium) last month. Now I got a different job but in order to transfer my H1B to the new employer, original extension needs to be approved first. Does anyone know if the extension application can be fast tracked through the premium processing?

One can do transfer their application into premium anytime .. there is no such restriction if you have filed regular before so can not do premium .. that’s not true.. just paid $1250 and trigger your app into premium

Contact your attorney, send a check to them. They will upgrade the petition to premium.

Is it same even if your Visa wouldn't have expired yet and your extension is under processing? Would you have to wait for new company to file new H1B…? Or the issue is because your visa got expired?

Will your new company premium process your petition? Then yes, you could. Your new company will have the petition transferred, then you could let your old company know anyways and they will withdraw the petition.

At what stage should my current company be informed? Can my future employer wait till new H1b is approved through premium?

I'm also in the same boat. My current company already filed the extension in normal processing. I paid $1450 and changed it to premium so that I can apply for transfer with my future company soon.

Can I do it by myself or do I have to go through office attorney?

I did it through attorneys.
