Got an offer from Synopsys, hardware CAD team. Recruiter asks for salary expectation. How to maximize my chances of getting a great offer?

What state is it based in? Ask them the range, it’s now requisites for employers to provide a pay scale “upon reasonable request” in California.
good info though it may be hardly useful in practice. in my experience, 7 out of 10 recruiters lied to me in my face. they can easily fool you with a number that you have no way to prove or disapprove at the point you negotiate
Bay area. Base range is like 120-130k. RSU 25k over 4yr

DO NOT reply. There’s a chance you will low-ball yourself. If you do reply, give a number that’s at least +50k more than your acceptable number
Ask them directly what is the range of salary for this role.

3+ yr. Does job title limit TC you can get? I heard HR cannot do much within a job grade.
