How much are you guys spending per month on things besides rent and your car?
Bvbbt you’re awesome. If you don’t mind me asking how old are you? I’m thinking whether to rent or buy a place in Seattle.
Makes sense, thanks!
Bvbbt- may I know ur household income?
So not in Seattle or Redmond proper, live on the Westside. Best money savers are to live near a Connector or the Bus Park and Rides that take you direct to campus. Traffic sucks, tolls suck. Rent is expensive. In my suburb, expect 1200 to 1800 for a decent apartment. Groceries for the two of us run about 600 per month. If you want to be closer to the action, you'll have to live closer to downtown, and that extracts a premium. The difference in rental costs is higher than the cost of an uber to get there. Anything and everything close to Redmond campus or South Lake Union is expensive, but terribly convenient.
I am running a deficit and need to sell stuff here and there to maintain a living. On debt due to surgery/ school/ car. no there’s nothing extra I spend beside charity.
How much are you paying for rent?
1700-1800
