Managing directors typically have a budget component tied to their variable comp plan. Easy way to lower the actual vs budget. I consider it piss poor management. Puts employees through hell because of shit managers process.
This is bullshit. Itβs probably true.. but itβs terrible practise (and surprisingly not long term thinking)
Window dressing is the norm due to quarterly earnings reports. This culture of ST fixes at the expense of LT strategies wonβt end until the culture of quarterly earnings reporting ends.
Means that the company is about to fall or try to sell.
Generally used to achieve bonus levels and or make quarterly numbers look good.
Most of the times it's just a term used internally to drive fiscal responsibility. Companies seldom have any freeze.
