I am getting a 1800sq ft model home in Hayward for 725k, 2019 construction. 670k 1100 sq ft 1986 built but completely remodeled on the inside in san jose (15min from CPTO) in San jose. Exterior sucks, but seller is promising to renew it. I work at Apple CPTO and husband at san mateo. Which option is good for us?

Have you checked the school ratings for Hayward? Usually better schools means better appreciation over time.
San Jose. Your husband can take Caltrain to San Mateo.
Hayward isn’t a great neighborhood. The only good part is in the hills close to 680 but otherwise it is just bad all around.
Stay away from Hayward. Good and bad pockets.
