As an early employee (have now left) I have been waiting patiently for any indication of a future Houzz IPO. The Richard Wong CFO hire a year ago seemed promising. Pinterest’s successful IPO recently also seems like a good sign. But wondering if ANYONE has an insight? Any chatter on the internal front?
How many options do you have ?
I don’t have options. I exercised when I left. I own shares. And enough that any kind of positive liquidation event would be life changing.
Ever heard of reverse split?
You know their tc structure for new hires now? A recruiter reached out to me recently
Unfortunately I do not. Been a long time since I left. There are a couple good threads on here with new grads posting TC structure including RSU packages.
Why not sell on secondary market instead of waiting for IPO?
Ironclad transfer restrictions. Many, many people have tried this route to no avail.
Ask your friends on the inside
How long companies usually spend preparing for ipo? If they are in panning for this year or next ppl inside should know right?
How many shares do you own? < 400k 400-500k 500-600k 600-700k > 700k
Is this some sort of effort to ascertain who I am? None of this information is relevant to you OR my question.
I recently rejected an offer within the finance team. My guess for IPO is 2 years out, if the founders are interested in letting go. See that last equity raise? It was $400M. That is plenty of cash to last.
Where do you work now?
Irrelevant
TC and yoe?
