Joined amazon as an L4 out if school. There is so many tasks to do here and i have like no WLB. also my team is pretty toxic and dont really like it here. i have interened at some big insurance companies and liked the slow pace and friendly people. Are all other top tech companies as demanding as Anazon. If i want a more easy and chill life should i just avoid all the big brand names.
From what I've gathered Amazon has the worst WLB compared to the other FANG.
Get back to work amazon or youre getting PIP'd
Maybe not a “top tech” company, but I’ve heard of a lot of people from Amazon coming to Disney Streaming. I don’t really know how it compares since I never worked there, but WLB is pretty good here even now with Disney+ right around the corner things are pretty well-managed. I wouldn’t call it “slow-paced” at all, but people are friendly for sure.
Where does Disney Streaming Services have locations for Eng?
Mostly in NYC from what I can tell. There is a decent number of fully remote teams though.
Cisco is chill af but boring
Like is it slow paced. What hours do people usually work. Do you always have to work like fast paced or in a hurry/ weekends
Ive meet people from Cisco. A lot of 10am-4pm going on at Cisco.
