Someone here said that top 20% of Amazon L7 make 700k. I wonder how hard it is and its much more than a Google L6.

There’s approximately 20% chance... how much more specific can we get? Also it’s mid 600s tops for manager and slightly less for IC.
Very few L7s at Amazon make that much. Perhaps few applied scientist L7s do, but these are people with 15+ years of experience and have PhDs in relevant area. I haven’t seen many L7 applied scientists who don’t fit this criteria.
