Since I have two onsites in the same city, I plan to ask for a departure flight ticket + 3 nights from company A and return flight ticket + 2 nights from company B. Both companies use a third party travel agency, do you guys think this is something appropriate to request?
Sounds fair to me.
Y do u need more than 1 night for each company? Sounds like a vacation to me
The hell? Independent of this splitting scheme, two nights is totally normal - before and after the interview. You shouldn't have to travel and interview on the same day.
3 nights seem reasonable. E.g. you arrive on Sun evening. Mon and Tue are interviews. Wed morning you depart. This is 3 nights in total. You can depart on Tue night itself however the candidate will need to take a red eye flight.
They may ask you to cover a couple of nights by yourself. My recruiter was nice and let it slide when I did more than two nights. This wasnt for my interview with Amazon.
Just take both flights and get much closer to loyalty status with your preferred airline and hotel
I recommend two nights before the interview actually, one time travel and the other to get acclimated
Typically they do two. You can try asking for three if you are thick skinned enough
Do you really want to interview or are you just sponsoring your vacation?
If it is, why ask here?
