How much do you lie on behavioral interviews?

If so, is it because you can't remember or you just straight up go J. K. Rowling status? Edit: Do recruiters seriously even believe this stuff or expect it to be true? It's kind of ridiculous to me that every applicant would have a perfect answer to these questions that actually happened in their life. It seems like it's so much more of a "What would you do in this situation" kind of question...amirite?

Lil bit. I feel like sometimes you have to lie. Like, in behavioral interviews you can usually tell what they're looking for but maybe you don't have a real story that you could apply to that response so just make one up.
