Senior software engineer TC 300k
Gov job, so its published. https://nasapeople.nasa.gov/employeebenefits/pay/default.htm
Thanks 😊
There's no point being a Swe and making half of what you make. If you take a pay cut, find a job that's good enough to justify the pay cut. May be worth going for a fed job if you're going to be an astronaut, CIA agent etc.
You really want to know?
I'm an intern and I'm most likely not gonna come back. I would say you should end your career here. Not start it, imo. I know that some people are starting as low as 60-70 here. SWE can make a little more around 100k but people stay for the culture, WLB and interesting work.
Yes. I was considering working for nasa. How is the culture really?
NASA is welfare for smart people - don’t go unless wanting to retire
Came here to say this. Government work for your last 10 years. Earn your TC before then.
Dude nasa is where the actual real smart people are... not these wannabes that work in the bay that chase TC - you will never make it in the big leagues
Government job. You won’t get that TC in eng.
