How much remote work worth it for you?
Say you were offered a full-time remote job and currently have regular office job with remote Friday. How large of pay cut you would be willing to take for it? 20k a year? 40k? Or vice versa going from 5 remote days to 1 day how much more TC you would ask for? 300K, 15yoe

When I joined Amazon I received a 40% bump to go from commuting two hours per day, five days per week to working 100% from home.

A lot of remote companies pay the same TC compared to companies needing you in the office, you just need to find the right ones. Akamai was one of them. So I would say $0 if anything you should make more given itβs a move up a rank
I'm at 180K, fully remote, 7 yoe. Worth it for me. Plus I'm in a super LCOL area so my 180 goes wayyy further. My rent is $700/mo for a nice 1000sqft 2bedroom π

In my current situation, I have to be working remotely, so working in the office is completely off the table for me regardless of comp.
