I come from banking background and wear suits to interviews. Is it the same for Amazon?
I suggest you to ask your recruiter directly, that's the kind of questions you can ask them.
Depends on the level you are interviewing for. For L4, you can probably wear shorts. L7 and above, suit and tie is mandatory.
Ahhhhh not in my experience, depends on your role and your customers expectations. If you are sales and targeting a financial services segment then yeah suits are normally a good idea. If you are startup focused then teeshirts.
Not in my experience. Dress code is 'casual'
For L7 position they specifically asked me not to dress up.
Which location?
Boston
OP, post your location, position you are called for, current TC, YoE and location of interview. DO NOT WEAR SUIT!
Doesn't matter. If you think you will be more confident in suits. Go for it. Wear what comfortable. Dress should not be a priority for Amazon.
I have started working for Amazon btw.. I wore a jean and a t shirt for my interview..
Remember it's always better to be a bit overdressed than underdressed.
Andy is that you? Andy!?!?!
Not true. That’s just a corporate mentality.
Definitely a jeans. And no jacket please.
Make sure yo bring a water bottle with you in case you want to take a bio break
I wore jeans. You will look ridiculous in a suit.
Not at all. I wore jeans and a button down shirt with a jacket. That looked dressed up.. listen to the guidance recruiting gives you; they’ll tell you they are more interested in how you think than what you wear. I’ve since started and found it to be very sincere.
