How's Sephora?

Can anyone offer some insights about pay and work culture at Sephora HQ?

we really need answers here.

It really depends what department and team you're on. Pay is too low for this area, but probably on par with retail in general. People leaving left and right for tech and Walmart.

but what are the perks? any discounts/free samples/first dibs on new or clearance items, etc

20% employee discount, 40% off Sephora Collection products, discount goes to 30% during holidays. Free product desk drops throughout the year, usually around major launches. Regular brand events with snacks and free product. Depending on your department, where you sit, and who you're friends with, you get access to even more product. One of the buildings has two Peloton bikes (and nice building showers in the basement).

We just switched to 30% off all product for FTE (still 40% of SC product).

Depends on department. Culture in IT is bad

Compensation is very low, and insurance is atrocious. Contractors are better off financially but treated poorly.

Low pay. Very top-down structure. Super old school regressive way of conducting business (especially compared to tech). Contractors are treated like absolute shit. I know this because I managed a large team of long term contractors and has 0 ability to fix my own team culture because it’s so top-down shitty.

Its definitely low pay. Have been in tech so i don't like the work culture here. I know that we have covid case but leadership always denies it. Sephora was the last one to have wfh when covid was spreading and it will be the first one to start working from office. So you get the idea.

At Sephora corporate in San Francisco (Market St or FSC building) are men discriminated against? Do they hate men? What % are men working there?
