My friend who works as a PM in uber SF is getting a leadership role in Flipkart. She has been thinking of relocating back to India. What is the culture looks like these days after the churn last year? Hows the salary as group PM and director PM?
How do you go about moving from The Bay Area to India in leadership roles??
Its a shit show. Not bad for 1-2 years or the lock in for relocation but no match for bay area. All folks they hired from US left or got fired earlier
What is the PM director level salary being offered?
I think Flipkart pays well.
Can anyone share director PM salary with stocks breakup
Heard they came to Seattle bay area for recruiting. Anyone attended?
I guess director makes 80lakhs
80lakhs looks like the correct ballpark. I think 70-90 must be the range
Is it base? or including variable? what about ESOPs?

'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
Flipkart has its own challenges. There was a time when Flipkart was really good in work, culture, money & talent. Though I'm not an insider but what I have heard that it's a shit show now. Culture is a big problem there is a re-org every other day. They did hire people from Bay area for culture but almost all of them have left, in terms of market share and stock options. Amazon is beating them out. In short, if your friend is okay with chaos & fine with Asian work culture then she can give it a try because if the goal is to move to India, Director of PM at Flipkart is a good resume point and she can move around in other companies in Bangalore easily.
Interesting. The problem of constant reorg is a big issue. I feel that flipkart is not focusing on the right problem rather with every debacle, they are trying to straighten it up through leadership changes.
