I’m reading a lot of mixed reports about what the situation is at Tesla. On one hand you have people that claim the company is just about to collapse, with 9k recently fired, sales declining, etc. On the other, you just hit your production target of 5k Model 3s per week after a pretty tough quarter.
I'm starting to question how Tesla looks on a CV.
Now Lord Musk says they will hit 6k cars by the end of August. I feel bad for the already overworked staff that will be overworked even more! Tesla isn’t a shining beacon when it comes to TC in any way.
And then he will blame “employee sabotage” wonder who will be the Scapegoat now :)
A goat escaped?
So you are the grammar and spelling Nazi? I fixed my mistake thanks!
As much as I look up to the Musk man for inspirations and a jolt of "can do" whenever I need it, I've always wondered why someone (i.e. Some spaceX, Tesla employees) are willing to literally burn out for someone else. I can't fathom the idea of my tombstone saying "insertName, made insertName happy during his lifetime".
See the movie whiplash
I've seen it. I wonder if some people r just more inclined to please others and seek for approval in their nature, and thus more vulnerable to being overworked.
Question is about Tesla (company) most of the responses are about Musk (man)...
What is the value of this post if not a single response is from a Tesla employee? Just random thoughts
Yeah, these are not the types of responses I was hoping for. ☹️
disgruntled employees join blind so I guess that means Tesla morale is not very low
Or they're just worked to exhaustion
That would be an interesting exercise, to see if the companies with the highest numbers of employees in Blind and the ones with lowest morale.
Or they don't want to be caught posting here lol
Moral isnt bad in my area. The whole tent thing is overhyped. The car bolts together the same way in a tent or in a building. If anything quality will be slightly better as it is more hand assembled. Robots easily miss the little things. A lot of people seem to forget that elon isnt Tesla we are a large group of people that do the drastic things we do for the simple fact that it is going to change the way we live hopefully for the better.
The real shitstorm will hit when the cars developed in the makeshift tent develop issues. American cars are generally of poor quality (as compared to Japanese) and here we have a tent made American car. Thank god that I didn’t buy into the Tesla hype.
The car is being assembled by same-caliber technicians in the tent as in the factory. The car spends less than an hour on each line. QC/QA for these vehicles are much more stringent than Japanese automakers. I fail to see where the quality gap is.
What can go wrong with a rushed project with temporary arrangements .... nothing. And if some one tried to report what corners are being cut, they will be labeled as saboteurs.
