So I think I've reached my limit on working at startups. I've learned a lot over the years. My technical skills are well rounded due to need for being technically crafty/creative and have grown professionally due to passive aggressive politics. I recently stumbled upon another growning pain situation at my current company.... An inexperienced team that doesn't believe in "measuring twice, then cut once." RFCs about standards, and structure for things being frowned upon, etc etc.... Watching folks make the same mistakes over the years has started to take a toll on me. Just left my 5th start-up, and heading to work for a giant. Curious to know if anyone else has felt this burnt out, and ended up back in corporate to reunite with structure 🤔?
It’s a pendulum. You’ll feel burnt out at a big co in no time.
That's want made me entertain startups initially. Been at it for a while now, and kinda just wanna chill out at a big shop for a bit. New venture should be interesting 🤷🏽♂️😏
Wait till you see the politics at a big Corp lol
Lol I've worked in Corp before. Think I just need a change of scenery for a bit.
You should start your own start up and fire all the office politicians there.
😂😂😂😂😂 nah that's a Gary Vaynerchuk thing
I feel sorry for you. Big corp will crush your soul...
Where are u heading?
One of the FAANG's
How many years at startups across your 5 startup?
4ish
Curious how you sold your 4 years of exp across 5 startups to FAANG. Weren’t they worried about short tenures?
I’d love to measure only twice and actually cut. Grass is greener.
