I went all in on cryptos! Is my life over?

I bought cryptos early 2017 and sold early 2018 with a very nice % profit. In my opinion, the fall was clear. I got most of my cryptos out when Bitcoin fell back to 14k.

I didn’t do massive profits because I didn’t invest too much. At that time I was mostly invested in the stock market.

Right now, I don’t believe in the stock market and over the past month I have been selling my stocks and slowly buying cryptos.

Yesterday I made a big push and went almost all-in on cryptos. Wish me the best!

I went all in on cryptos! Is my life over?
LTC turned bullish on the weekly today for the first time since a year back.
I went all in on cryptos! Is my life over?
Bitcoin has a tough resistance at 3900 but if we break that it’s likely that the weekly will turn bullish here as well. LTC is leading the way so I really think we will break 3900. The tougher part is to get above the red trend line!

Well, technically, buying even half a Bitcoin would make one a trader, by dictionary definition of the word.

  • Does drawing lines on charts really help make better decisions? I’ve never tried it, my strategy has been to just look at big picture trends plus how much value the company provides and buy at a lowish point and I’ve done okay. (I’ve only invested in stocks, never done currency and don’t intend to)

      OP
Yes. For many years I despised people that drew charts... But after studying and reading some trading books I understood that the charts simply represent human group psychology (in high volume stocks).

They don’t predict the future but they help the same was as counting cards help in blackjack.

Or how you calculate odds in poker to minimize losses.

Crypto is not conventional stocks! 99% of crypto traders are idiots who don’t know anything about trading! So charts don’t work here.

      OP
Charts work to find long term cycles.

And when 99% of traders are idiots then it means that they trade on emotions. Charts show when people feel afraid and when they feel greedy.

Agree with what you said. But again, 99% of crypto crowd (not you and me) can’t even create charts. Forget creating charts, they don’t even know how to read them.... lol....

Pure Emotions and fomo by bunch of idiots!

It's one thing to fully sell US equities, it's entirely another level of cray to go all in on crypto

Yeah technical analysis is just a form of reading the psychology behind the price movements. Also, when other high capital traders (institutions) are all reading the same support and resistance levels it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I think this is especially true in Crypto since it’s not that big yet in the grand scheme of things.

I can see crypto going ham again but I certainly wouldn’t go all in. The risk/reward is definitely appealing though at these prices.

      OP
Regarding the risk reward. I’m honestly at a point in life where I feel like it doesn’t matter if I move to some island and live in a bungalow or if I end up buying a penthouse in New York.

I just don’t want to be in the middle and I won’t care 10 years from now. The risk/reward is high enough to go all-in and I have stop losses set to not lose it all.

Worst case scenario I lose a chunk of my money and then I’ll move to Thailand were I live on the beach, train Muay Thai, work remotely as a contractor.

Best case, we have a new bull cycle and I’ll be able to live like a king.

#1) I would love to see a SF homeless talk about somehow reaching an island to build a bungalow

#2) when you live on the beach, don't forget to bring your coconut tree - DC adapter for your laptop

@Intell, when I was 26 years old I moved to a paradise island and did contract work for 2 years.

I spent 5-10 days a month doing minor jobs and that covered my entire expenses + plenty of savings.

      OP
I started buying a lot of BAT and XRP in beginning of 2019 because I like the projects and the use cases a lot. I also believe in the team behind those projects (specially BAT team).

From there I looked more and more at the bigger coins and that’s when I thought the charts looked good to get into it again.
      Mar 7
    • New vTvV46
      OP
The reason I only posted charts for LTC and BTC is because LTC has the most bullish form of the larger coins and it has been leading the way a few hours before the other coins follow.

And BTC is just the market dominator, if that one falls, I believe it all goes down with it.

Yes, about 20% the last days. About 30% on Bitcoin since I went all-in.

But as I stated, my largest investment was in BAT that is up 70% since this post. And about 150% since I started buying in.

(OP changed nick again). My target was 10k by November. But the market seems to be in complete FOMO mode now...

My target is still 10k by Nov. and I hope we go up slow and steady with lots of support and consolidation.

I hate this parabolic movement, it makes me nervous and it’s becomes really hard to stick to my plan.
