I do know that I am very well paid, but I'm wondering if I could get a higher offer or equivalent offer as an IC at FB or Google. I know that some folks are pulling a lot more at Google and FB, but probably after years of delivering great results. How common is it for these companies to offer really high TC to candidates (as opposed to proven valuable employees)?
Very little chance
This. 600k for 7 yoe is overpaid af. There’s a ton of more experienced people who would work even harder for half of that.
I always wonder what’s wrong with this overpaid low experience people. Never satisfied
No sane company would even match your current TC at 7 yoe, unless you invented the internet or something. I would say near zero, if not definitely zero chance.
Is there a rough map from yoe to TC for average joe? Just curious.
Oh lole..kitne paise chahiye tujhe
Most likely not Indian
Is that kind of tc common at Netflix with that yoe? What do you do?
No it's not common, I know I am an outlier
Hmm, OP you would have a hard time getting a match. This seems to be at the high end of L6 comp at Google. Try interviewing, Google has a good track record of matching comps if they go well.
600k TC should have made you turn to other aspects like architecture, leadership and impact beyond your org. If G/F give you 600 - 660K, do you find TC jump matters at all?
Just GTFO
Remember to take your TC with you
maybe hft?
Doubtful. There isn't a lot of intersection between skills useful at Nflx and hft. Unless OP is in ML
You're gonna have trouble finding a better gig than what you have, the best way is to sit and wait until someone really wants to poach you
What is your specialization ?
Yoe? Level?
About 7 years. Netflix doesn't have levels.
what are you doing to make you worth that much in 7 yoe?
