Intel folks, what are you guys gonna do when AMD Ryzen, Epyc and Rome take your bonus money next year? Do you guys have any plans to survive? When is 10/7 nm coming out or is it just a pipe dream?
When is Visa scrapping its x86 in the data center? Didn’t think so.
My first x86 PC was AMD 486DX4 - still remember how buggy was the motherboard then. Since then AMD had been “killing” Intel non-stop - especially in Athlon days and when they rolled out x86-64. And Intel is still a leader. Nothing will change this time. IMHO, one should start worrying about Intel when Apple switches to AMD, but I’m pretty sure they will rather go to their own ARM CPUs.
What about AMZN's processor they built with ARM? Are FANG companies likely threat to INTC as they design their own chips?
Buying amd stocks!!!
I'm about to build a 2950x for work
AMD is an Alarm clock for Intel. Intel will now work hard for next few years until AMD is out if the race again. It will gain the leadership in the industry and then serve people with same products for years until AMD wakes up Intel again
Isn't it like one guy who goes back and forth and basically negotiates his contracts and builds the entire architectures out? Jim Keller I guess his name.is https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.hothardware.com/news/amd-zen-chip-architect-jim-keller-leaves-tesla-join-intel
Intel needs a kick in the ass every decade, and this is it. AMD will never be able to produce the volumes necessary to take significant market share from intel, especially if they have to share TSMC fabs with companies like Apple. Intel roadmap looks solid after 10 nm; lessons were learned. Oh yeah, and record revenues.
Visa: loan shark. middle man. Please impress me with something, anything.
Lol. All Intel bros are mad now.
Is visa hiring?
Riiiiight AMD has or is taking over. Lol great post
Lol.
