A friend is inheriting some property and wants ideas for what to do with it. What would you do with 20k sqft real estate in Mountain View next to a freeway? The property is the only commercially zoned property in the neighborhood but could have zoning changed to residential. The adjacent properties will also be owned by family and could potentially be acquired for 2-3x the area. 2/3rds of the property is bordered by road.

I’d call a professional in this space and get their advice.
Naw the degenerates on Blind will sort this out for him. /s
It’s not my property, not my place to call professionals. I can dick around on the internet and solicits a wide range of ideas tho.
20,00 wtf is that number?
I’ve only seen a map of the plots. It’s enough space for 2, maybe 3 smallish houses
I'm questioning the different units you use in header vs. Body of the post 20.00 vs 20k
Sell it to Google
Sell it. Get some developers onboard pitching the idea of a 4-5 floor commerical office building. If going residential you could legit build at least six single families on 20k of land. Or like the guy above said, sell it to Google.
20k sqft of land isn't that big, it's roughly 2 small single home lots in a large city.
In the Bay area? There are single families on 2k - 3.5k of land going for 2million+ lol..
