Imposter Syndrome? How to get past it for companies like FANG and other ones?

How long did it take you to get over imposter syndrome when you first started a new job? And any advice on how to get over that at your company?

I think I've felt it at every job I've had over the years. Keep in mind you wouldn't have got the job if they didn't think you could do it, and don't screw up anything ;) then you'll gain the respect of your peers and it's plain sailing from there

It took me a year, but for a variety of reasons. But yes, just like the comment above stated, I kept myself motivated by the fact that they wouldn’t have offered me the job if I wasn’t right for it. Before I realized, I was performing well, participating meaningfully in the meetings and interacting effortlessly with colleagues in the jargon I thought was impossible to understand let alone speak when I joined. It’s not an amazing feat or something by any means. It’s a very organic consequence provided you keep learning on your job. So don’t worry, you will be fine before you know it.

It's never gone away. Every time I start to feel comfortable I get promoted and the cycle repeats. So be it, though. There's worse problems a person could have.

About 3 months. Once I sat down and asked my manager directly if I was adding value or not and he listed the things I had done that wouldn't have happened if I wasn't on the team. But every time I get put in a new role it comes back and I have to remind myself that if I wasn't adding value, I wouldn't be here.
