Can someone at Intel provide some information about the grade 6, grade 7, and grade 8 base salary and total compensation with NSG group at Rio Rancho New Mexico for someone with 1.5+ years of semiconductor industry experience and 4+ years of semiconductor experience?

    Well I was given a high grade 6 offer - 120K + 12K stocks and 12K bonus and 13K and sign on of 30K.

Folsom location. At 13% for geo difference.

That is a very high grade 6. Max for 6 is 125k for most engineering roles.

Mid point grade 7 is 119k with range of 89.7 to 148.5.

Hi, I was told Portland offers 120k base for new PhDs. Is it reasonable to negotiate for 135k base with 4 years of semiconductor experience after PhD (1.5 years of industry experience).

That doesn't sound too crazy. If you started at 120 and got your meager 2% raise every year that would put you around 130.

New PhDs can get anywhere between 120 to 128 depending on work history, competing offers and the group's desperation. At PhD + 4 you should be asking for 145 base unless your 2.5 years of non industry experience was completely orthogonal to your domain of expertise. The HR will anyway lowball you and meet you somewhere in the middle. If you want 135 ask for atleast 145.

You should get g7 for sure. If you have competing offers that will help a lot. If not then the room for negotiation is less. Try to ask for more rsu/ joining. Also, ask the base with geo included. I assume it’s Bay Area position
