My base salary is 94k is it too low for h1b. My bonus brings the value to 103k . Is it good enough for h1b ? Working for paypal. American bachelor's degree from a UC school. My title is Software Engineer I
Is it really a rule saying all h1b now must have salary above 100k?
The limit was 80K I believe.
The prevailing wage needed for your H1B should be public information, and I think it is based on your location. So I think google is more reliable than blind here
It is towards the lower side. You can check the prevailing wage on the labor website by entering the location and job type. Then it will give you different level of wages. I think with 94 in the bay area, you might be wage level 1. Last year uscis did try to reject some applications on level 1 wages, but not for everyone and you can always appeal !
What is the usual percentage diff in h1b
Yes, your prevailing wage is definitely on the lower side. Newbies these days make north of 100k easy.
Lower side but it’s quite right for level 1. Luring people to come work cheap!
This is a really low base. How will you afford anything?
I’m a level 1 at a 2nd tier tech company in sj. Got my 2019 h1b approved already with base= 82k
Not sure what H 1 B is but for Bayarea that is a pretty low salary. I'd suggest move to a different state.
