Is Uber AdTech group legit?
It appears that Uber is hiring a number of PMs in adtech related areas. I happen to have some expertise in this area so thinking of applying. Is this group legit? It seems to unusual to have a group building tech just to spend money on Google and FB. Of course it’s for user growth and it seems pretty important to the mission but I’m concerned it’s not customer facing. Thoughts?

Maybe it's a team working on ads in Uber. Every car will have an "in car entertainment/media experience". with ads
You stay on social network company for too long. Ads team normally means buying ads in most companies.
They are rethinking a lot. Definitely a place where making an impact is possible quickly.

It is the team that we need people the most.
They are on an empire building spree. This will end very badly. Lot of top level push to build stuff in house. Milk the cow if you can and leave after 2 years. They have more PMs than engineers though. That speaks volumes about the group imho.
