So awhile ago I got a recruiter from AWS who said my skillset looked good for a certain position and wanted to talk more so just apply to website and we can proceed from there. So I applied on the website and I filled everything out, (pretty standard stuff, able to relocate, citizen, no noncompete etc) and then I updated my resume on file by taking out the internship part since it's been a while since I did the internship and I thought I'd make it short. Anyways, few days later I get an email saying they decided to look for other candidates. So, I didn't even get to speak to them. But they said they want to consider me for other roles in the future and will pass my information to other teams. So I was wondering, is this common that they reached out and then I get passed right away or did I make a mistake?
Sometimes Amazon will reach out again and again and again. Expect future emails from a different recruiter for a different role.
So I guess this is a common thing..
Unfortunately, they have so many candidates that they can only pick a few and still afford to miss out some the talented people since these folks are most likely to try to apply again.
cloud clearance could have failed you.
What is that?
