I am 1 year experienced. Which firm I should be more inclined keeping following factors: - work environment - compensation - skills acquired that may be useful to other domains just beside finance I have applied as a Software Dev. I already qualified 2 rounds of both the companies. Other companies I am interviewing with Uber and Google.
Why is this even a question?
What do you have to offer these companies? The clearer you are with the value you bring the clearer your natural fit will become. Keep in mind that Google and Uber receive hundreds of thousands of not millions of applications each year. I’ve found that people perform best, and are therefore rewarded best, when their cultural preferences align with the company along with skills which are valued. So the question is: what differentiates you from other 1 YoE SWEs? What kind of environment would inspire and motivate you?
Dev at BB is a joke. But I doubt you’d get the Jane Street offer - it’s much much harder to get in than either G or Uber
JS
JS. It will also be the toughest of all to get in.
Jane Street has maximum prestige
Jane Street is highly regarded but OCaml tho
OCaml is just a worse version of F#
Jane Street for a developer. Maybe google after
Question you should be asking is, which companies want you? Getting offer is not going to be a cake walk.
