I have a CODA (software developer apprenticeship) job lined up with Capital One in a few months but I’ve been working at Northrop Grumman. The commute to work is usually over an hour each way, which I feel like is killing me. I also am doing no work but planned on studying CS but most things are blocked. Am I crazy for wanting to quit and and study until CODA rolls around? The commute makes my work day about 12 hours long. I want to study, so I’m ready for more opportunites and Capital One. I’m a new grad. I don’t need the money right now.
Capital One trains you to become a software developer.
I went through CODA. It really depends on you but assuming you’re in the February class might as well take a break with all the holidays coming up. Make sure you have enough $$ saved up before quitting. Honestly not much to study for before CODA... most of the studying can be done during the program
Lol this description sounds like what I have to deal w everyday
How long have you worked at Grumman?

Hey, you should just quit! CODA will teach you everything you need to know, and you should take the time to relax, travel, and do other hobbies instead of having a terrible commute and job.
Did you go through CODA?
This. CODA expect you to have a brain and right attitude. They will teach you most of what you need to know.
You need to work it out with yourself!
Do you think studying for a few months could help me get an internship or prepare me for after CODA?
